I caught a couple pokemon (namely a psyduck and a wurmple) and afterwards, I tried to move a bit out of the grass, and I'm sent to a blue sky-like screen. It seems intentional because of how the screen zooms out and blurs from your character, but I walk/run for like 10 minutes in a direction and nothing changes. Is this intentional??
Hello there. So far, I'm liking this game even though I'm not very far in it but I wanted to give some constructive criticism and report some bugs. First of all, I'm playing the game on a Steam Deck using Proton GE 9-27 using version 2.1.0.1 of the game. First of all, I found the movement in the overworld to be a bit sluggish even after cranking my Deck settings up to 90FPS. This is more so a problem with the walking speed rather than the running speed. I feel like if you bump up the speed value a bit that can alleviate this issue or even put in a movement speed option that players can configure in the game's options. I also noticed that this game does not handle analog sticks well, which is how I prefer to navigate my character and menus. Whenever I try to move my character with the analog stick, it has trouble changing directions where the character just stops half the time because it did not process the stick's input correctly while using the D-Pad works just fine. These also seem to apply to the battle UI in an odd way as using the stick there acts like it's tabbing the UI even though there's no other tabs on there. That's something worth investigating in the future. I also just noticed that the game has only have one save file, while I can work around this by either manipulating the files or making new instances/copies of the game I would appreciate it if you could make multiple save files since I share the Deck with my brother who is a big fan of Pokémon as well. However, so far the art style is really cool. I love the impact you put on the attack animations during battles as I always found the Pokémon Essentials RPG Maker animations lacking so this was a breath of fresh air. And nice touch on the party Pokémon appearing on the Title Screen. That's really neat. One more thing, you may want to change the interface of the Delibird shop to where the up and down arrows change the quantity and pressing A just buys the item like most Pokemon games and the battle UI would use more of an indication of which option is selected.
Now, let's move on to bug reports. The first bug I encountered happened right at the start as when I attempted to grab Beldum, he was never added to my party nor my PC. I should mention that I didn't have the Pokedex Prototype yet so I don't know if that had any impact on it. The next glitch I encountered was wild encounters constantly happening on the same spot without moving where everytime I finish a wild encounter, usually there were 1-3 more before it would actually stop. I noticed that I could move immediately afterwards and I think that alleviates the issue to a degree but it is a nuisance. A temporary solution for this would be to put in a line of code that dictates that after a wild encounter, the player must take 3 steps before it starts rerolling. That's my suggestion. I also encountered the Pokemon not loading bug a few times as well which compounded with the previous bug essentially trapping me in a loop where I finish a battle only for another to immediately start and not load forcing a soft reset. This has cost me a couple of Pokémon. Going back to moving after an encounter, I did notice a rather peculiar behavior where you can move after an encounter but before a Pokemon evolves and when the evolution finishes, you are snapped back to where you were before you moved and retriggering the continuous encounter bug. This only happened once though. I will also mention that the game had some minor rendering issues where after one battle, it took a second for the environment to reload and sometimes I see a white line while moving but those are very minor and could be compatibility issues with Proton. I do believe that's everything. While I did say a lot of negative things, I hope this feedback can be used to improve the game to greater heights and I can't wait to play more of it. Especially when I get the chance to update it.

When you go through that cave, to get out of there, hold the joystick up in the animation where the character re-enters, then it will bug and you will appear underground, once you are underground just run down until you go through the transition zone from that area to the forest area
You can also beat the game and it will get you out of there.
All data (pokemon names and moves) deleted after adding TMs. Beldum not available. Other regular glitches require regular restarts (often at the start of trainer battles). Bounce technique glitch: pokemon never comes back down lol
How i connect me control to the game because me control is a bluethooth one and is not working in the game and when i used in other game is working and i use the DS4 WINDOWS APP but is not dectenting me control can someone help me
Going into the options menu and changing the game from fullscreen to windowed or borderless doesn't do anything other than make the game blip for a second, and even returns to the fullscreen setting after backing out and going back into the options. Is there any way to run the game in windowed by default? Having it fullscreen by default seems really buggy.

So impressive and looks stunning, I started it up and was blown away by the shiny Mudkip waiting for me in the briefcase (I was picking Mudkip anyway, but dayum!)
I then got locked into the battle opening sequence with a Magma grunt - after the first Delibird station, on the left by the trees.
Glad I saved after getting the shiny Mudkip!
Looks so good so far and insanely impressive for a single person's efforts! Can't wait to see how this grows!

Just to clarify - I'm physically stuck In the battle as none of my Pokemon got sent out and I was glitched into being stuck in the opening scene of the battle.
But you just grab the Beldum shortly after picking up your starter.

- If your pokemon KO's itself due to confusion, the game soft locks, made the yoir fight a living hell for me
- Typing is off for some pokemon, my swablu was a normal and fighting type
- stat boosts are wonky, i stacked 5 dragon dances as a level 32 swablu and was still outsped by a non boosted level 30 breloom
- switching from pokemon to pokemon in battle also has a chance to soft lock but not all of the time
- and occasionally when you start a battle your pokemon will not show up, this forces you to reset to last save but even if you do all your pokemon will be gone
I noticed evolving Wurmple is basically always a Beautifly eventually! I've evolved several Cascoon and Silcoon into Beautiflys. Cascoon's evolution shows Dustox, but sounds like Beautifly!
No it’s a gift Pokemon after getting your starter beat the grunts that come after you pick up the 5 pokeballs where the briefcase was then there should also be another pokeball out front which has the Beldum save before picking it up if you want to soft reset for a shiny
I played version 51 last night, and I explored all I could without proceeding past the Poochys, and it seemed like that's where the demo ended for me XD
Re-read the first letter by you know who, and I checked a certain flag. So I saved directly in front of the briefcase, and checked all the starters. No shinies, so I used the SR button combo. Then something odd happened. The briefcase was closed, interacting with it did nothing, it didn't even give any feedback. I re-read the letter, went to interact with the Poochyenas, went all the way back to the port, and repeated reading and going to the Poochys, going to the suitcase, etc... Doing another soft reset and even hard resetting by closing the game both did nothing. Oh and if it matters, I did use the mystery gift code before all this, like right at the start basically after my first progress save.
I think the problem is that the flag triggers/is checked, right? But then saving the game and resetting messes with it somehow, as in the flag is left in a weird state. It's been checked, while at the same time being like.. locked/uncheckable. The briefcase gets reset when you reset the game, and requires the flag for it to open up, resulting in it being closed every time you save after checking the flag and resetting the game. Solution would be to save first then re-read the letter, or just read it after interacting with Poochyena, most likely. Takes a little more time to SR for shiny/ideal stat starters. But it is what it is I guess. Though, this may already have been squashed by the 53rd version. Idk. I just got it. I'm gonna start a fresh save, and just play it safe by saving before reading the letter/journal log sheet.
I know the game is buggy and glitchy. I expected that, all things considered. Just super ironic when you get hard-locked by saving which is normally what we use to prevent situations like this xD
Love the work that has gone into this! Played it for 60 minutes, unfortunately, I can't bare myself to continue playing due to the numorous random bugs I have encountered which would softlock the game, for example, sometimes when I go into a trainer battle, my pokemon would not appear, and since there is no way to run from a trainer battle, the game is softlocked. Other bugs include the UI being very wonky, sometimes dissappearing (like the opposing pokemon's health bar). All of these issues have lost me a huge amount of progress, making it hard to me to enjoy the game at this point. I will wait for updates to fix some of the game breaking bugs to come back.

I absolutely love the development and time it's taken to make this. Everything about this is perfect and I can't wait to see more. That being said, however, there are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed in order to make it better.
Immediately the first thing I noticed is the settings don't save, I have to go back into them after most encounters to get my preferred settings back on track, especially with EXP Share. The next one is whenever I swap pokemon or heal them on my turn in a battle, all UI is gone and I'm left staring at the opponent stuck with nothing to do except start over. Next, whenever I lost all my pokemon in a battle, it reset me to the beginning and I lost the Lotad I had caught but kept the Torchic and Beldum?? Very strange haha
I'm not coming at the creator with any hate, these are just things I noticed within the first 10 minutes of my gameplay and I figured it'd be helpful to share with them so they can work on it. Like I said, I love where this game is going and I can't wait for it to be perfect. Bugs and all, it's so far been more fun than most mainstream pokemon games.
Just finished the demo. Absolutely amazing job! The ending is great, and I have so much hope for this in the future! This is exactly how I have wanted the new Pokémon games to go, keeping to the pixel art style but with an update. Great job!!!
Hello game dev., this game so freakin cool first off, also first bug I got was using astonish with a lotad versus another lotad, I think the flinch made the code freak out bc the wild lotad never took its turn.
I love this game so far amazing visuals and gameplay, i have played it for about an hour and a half and have also came across about the same bugs of course, no worries there. i did have a bug that jus happened not for sure if anyone else has had it happen but after getting through the forest and being able to take out the generators, i restored my pokemon at a tent and now all of my pokemon are lvl 1 and their names changed to "name" lol its pretty hilarious but it kinds sucks had my pokemon lvls in the 30's lol. other than that i also had a battle where my first pokemon wouldnt come out and a couple crashes but nothing too serious other than losing progress but thats expected with bugs. All in all very good game so far and cant wait to play it fully once things are fixed, keep up the amazing work man, you got this
The game is very buetiful and everything but sadly the bugs kinda ruin it. I know that is is the demo but all the bugs dont really give me the hype to play it. The one that made me stop playing is this bug that reseted all my pokemon in my team (including my shiny treecko lol)

Got stuck in the pokemon team menu when trying to swap pokemon. Can't exit this screen in this state and had to alt-F4.

You dropped through the map it happens just soft reset a ton don't go 5 minutes without saving

Hey so this is a bug that definitely needs fixed. I can't go back from this location. When I exit this spot, the character is placed on the tile that moves them back to this area, so I can't backtrack.

so what i did is add this to my steam library by adding it as a non-steam game and then my controller worked just fine

If you klick the button to learn a new move after a level up, then it would be nice to be able to cancel it without to forget a move. :)

in the start island there is a bug that in a corner of the wall you can enter and walk inside the wall, and even reach the sea lmao.
still have an issue where i battle yior and i get the exp glitch where i can't stop levelin
