Also, there's a glitch when you check a Pokemon's stats while in the battle menu... the screen with the list of Pokemon does not disappear and remains stuck in the foreground while things happen in the background.

Anyone else encountering a bug that puts you in an infinite battle loop with random wild Pokemon if you go into the long grass? It's freakin' CRAZY. I litterly move one step (don't even make it to the next square) and get stuck in a battle loop. Each time I run successfully, only to get trapped into another battle sequence with another random Pokemon. It's literally game breaking and super freakin' frustrating! I spent that past 15 minutes trying to break the loop but going to empty squares but it won't let me leave the freaking grass patch which is across the water with the bridge full of team Magma grunts... I love the work put into this game but c'mon, please fix this and give us an option to turn off random wild Pokemon battles! 

do we know when this is going to come out in a full release?

who knows. it's still a work in progress and that depends if Nintendo doesn't try to shut it down. 

Demo is still a little glitchy. Here's what i got so far, when my pokemon used the move Bounce it wont come back down and the battle is not continuing. A bit laggy and yeah thats about it. Also is there anyway to heal PP?

So I'm new to playing games that I didn't get off of steam, how exactly do I get the game to recognize that my ps5 controller is connected?

I figured it out, you just have to add the game to your steam library. Open steam, click on games, and then navigate to "add a non-steam game to my library", works like a charm.

hey guys, after the second battle with larry the game crashes and appears the error in the image. Has anyone had the same problem? if so, how did you continue?

This is the type of game i have been wishing for and can't wait for this to be fully fleshed out. At its current state i get it, it is a work in progress and that is fine. Getting frozen or not able to interact with the game when i battle or catch, etc alot. Keep going at this cause this game is looking to be a generational run for sure!!!


Ps: keep getting frozen in the ui when i enter a patch of grass to quick or trying to look in the pokedex im also moving in game so ill unintentionally get into a battle.

I need help. I am stuck on a lava pit inside the mountain. My player walked on top of it and i can’t get out. Even after the soft reset and closing and opening the game, I’m always there and can’t leave. O leave a link to a video proof

did you save after you got stuck? If you did, you're not supposed to save when a bug/glitch occurs otherwise you're stuck with it. You might have to start all over. 

Managed to play through the whole thing and will say there is DEFINITELY potential here. Its pretty buggy but you find work arounds throughout the run. I love how the environments look, the moves are super badass too. Not to mention the awesome music for the battles, honestly I'm excited to see where it goes. when am in the grass trading my pokemon to level up the game freezes

This game has really good bones but, it's unplayable in it's current state. The aesthetic of the game is incredible, there's so many charming little things like your team being on the load screen or the battle camera panning around when you're waiting but it's hard to appreciate that when at it's core, the game can't really be played. When my pokemon faints in a battle, the screen to pick a new one is permanently on the screen so I have to blind fight and hope I win. the spawn rates in the grass are so high I had to stop playing before the ashen forest because I got soft locked in a patch of grass. prior to this I full on crashed in the ashen forest. There is SO SO much to look forward to but this needs some more time before it should be rolled out again. Truly, I want the best for this game, there is so much to look forward to if it can be made playable. GL!

Dude, same thing happened to me just now and it's incredibly annoying. I cannot go any further. At this point, I might have to reset my progress entirely. There should be an option for multiple saves. 

Did anyone else not get move when a pokemon leveled up. Did they switch when they get them or something?

Hello, the game looks so cool, but while i was trying to play i found an error, searching about i found that this error is about the c++ programing, or something about it, well, i'll post a print here of the errors

Really cool experience. But as others have said, it's so buggy that it's unplayable in its current state. I can't even progress through tall grass sometimes, as my controller seems to automatically trigger a battle while moving to the "right" on the overworld.

looking forward to seeing this updated! great work so far.

Same thing but interesting you note that its "when you move right" I feel like the tall grass soft lock loop issue is pretty much in any direction when I play.

Same for me on Linux (using GE-Proton9-27). Did fix itself after setting all settings to lowest possible and restarting. After the initial cutscene it seems to work again with higher settings.

Crash in runnable thread RHIThread

I literally cannot walk though bushes because every bush is an encounter and even after defeating the encouter if im trying to walk through the same bush there will be just another encounter... and another one... and another one. This makes it impossible to play because at one point you need to walk though bushes lol

if you are on Gamepad I noticed that when using the D-Pad the bushes have that bug but when using the Joystick it is much more tolerable

so basically what you're saying is that the game is unplayable with a controller. I am having the same experience, unfortunately.

Well not exactly just use the joystick instead of the D-Pad. I have also found out you can hold a direction after fleeing/winning and you should be able to move one grass tile at a time.

How exactly did you get the gamepad to work in the first place? I've tried both my ps5, and switch controllers, and the game doesn't seem to recognize them. 

Absolutely lovely Demo it looks and sounds great! I am having issues however. The game is softlocking during battles and I'm not sure what the cause is or how to avoid it. Having to restart an entire battle because of it is starting to get annoying but I can understand it's just a Demo so still looking forward to seeing this become a full game! I wish Game Freak would make something like this...

Really enjoying the game. Its just the game keeps crashing whenever the Mercenary Boss's Lucario uses Aura Sphere

Everytime the Mightyena uses astonish my HUD completely disappears and I can't do anything. Same with bounce for my combusken :/

Just entered the AShen Forest and as soon as I get into a npc battle, the game crashes :(

damn bro i feel bad for ya but im sure itl be fixed since this is a demo and is bound to have problems

 oh lord what happened i just started and the game was having a seizure and replaced my lotad with the thing called "Bottom Text" ill try to recount what happened. so i entered a battle against a lotad in the grassy area  above the tree next to the tent, defeated it, saw my lotad being replaced my a sprite of a treeko, being renamed to Bottom Text, than lotad evolved and whilst the animation was playing i was thrown into a battle against a psyduck where i decided to check the newest member of my party where when i checked the summary i got that image and i won? the battle and could not leave this image overall 10/10 game just be wary of game getting seizures not you the game still fun tho :)

ok there is a LOT OF canary mismatch crushes. i encountered these errors twice when i was attacked by a pokemon and once when i won against an npc

Apart from all that has been said, I've had a magical time with this demo. The music is incredible. Count me in for the full release!

How did you save the changes in options when you switched it from full screen to windowed? I'm on pc

Im getting the same thing sadly (i dragged the folder out of a folder to the desktop and it works perfectly)

I was getting this too! I did what someone mentioned in another reply by dragging it out of the folder and onto the desktop, but another way that worked for me was simply reinstalling the game through itch... it took seconds and fixed the game completely. Hope this helps!

ain't no fucking way. All my pokemon fainted and you tell me i don't get to keep the ones i catched since the last checkpoint? this is incredibly stupid.. Got a shiny and its now completely gone.

hey i got graphic card 1660 ti and it doesnt want to start its says i need to update to 500 and something and rn its on 400 and somthing i updated it and still i doesnt work there were multiple options when on navidias site and i pick the first one and stil doesnt let me play any help?
