Is anyone else stuck on the hidden machine part of the game where you finish the battle and it freezes you in place, unable to do anything, even start up the menu. I've restarted 5 times and its the same outcome :(
i fixed it by sheer luck of spamming movement keys, interactions for the battle and soft resetting to the point where two instances of the battle loaded at the same time gl lmao
I'm Still stuck, i tried your method and even tried to put the text speed to slow LMAO, i'm gonna keep trying but if all else fails, might just have to wait until theres an update / full release
I've noticed some (not all) trainer fights cause the game to just freeze sorta? Like, The battle is initiated but my character sprite stands still and nothing happens. So i'm just standing here looking at this kecleon. and I feel like it's making the relationship between me and the lizard weird
I just lost my mons in order; Combuskin, beldum, lombre, beautifly, pikachu, psyduck got to level 23 down and bought some tms and saved not realizing they were gone. so i lost everything. but when i got on again it was replaced with all party button text treeko. please fix the party bug and the box bug please will have to come back to the game once its done. i had to reset too many times. plus bounce has a chance to be parabolic charge when first learning. and during battle it send combuskin to space to not return.
Having played through the whole game, it was fantastic. As everyone wrote already, there are bugs galore. I'm sure it'll all be ironed out in future updates. The part that really almost got me was the fact that when I beat Grunt Johnny to give me the HM (I'm assuming strength) the game would freeze every time. So I had to walk through the boulders to progress. Regardless of bugs I thoroughly enjoyed playing and can't wait to see the full release.
I downloaded the most recent release as of 36 minutes ago. I now can use the gift Beldum, however, immediately my starter Torchich was replaced by a Treecko sprite, a Bellossom back sprite and the name is "block text". it goes unrecognized by the pc or the save overview, and when I swap the lead with the Beldum, the beldum becomes the sprite for both pokemon until I exit and reenter the pokemon menu, then the Torchic is simply GONE....
In the evolution screen, when Wurmple evolves, Silcoon's sprite shows but it actually evolves into Cascoon. Same thing happen when you evolve it to Dustox, Silcoon's sprite is still present.
LOVING THIS GAME THOUGH! Its defo buggy but still enjoyable once you figure it out :)
Based on what I've played so far it seems like a really fun experience But It seems that Larry`s "Dang it" dialog from the beginning of the game plays twice and wont leave my screen and my Pokémon sometimes disappears when I send it out so it wont allow me to play anymore.
Hopefully it gets fixed soon so I can keep playing!
Another potential bug. I apologize if someone has said this already. When a new pokemon is switched in, it soft locks the game and does not allow the trainer to click a move. The UI for this disappears
please fix the pc generator. i froze when i interacted with it before the magma grunt next to it. edit: lotad does absorb but was regained 0 hp and this is the wild lotad.
Haven't played through it all yet. But one bug I've noticed, not a game breaking one like the others I've encountered, is that when Psyduck heals with Aqua Ring, if he heals to full health, the text box pops up and says he healed for 0 Health, lol
Other things like my pokemon comign out as invisible in battles, or a wild pokemon not showing up at all so my character sprite gets stuck on screen are things i have to Soft reset for. Thankfully, I haven't encountered any problems with the Save System yet.
Although, I find it strange i cant heal my party with potions outside of battle.
w game, some bugs to let you guys know in my first 5 minutes, game would freeze and get stuck when a battle starts sometimes the opponent Pokémon will come out and I wouldnt even take my pokemon out the game would just stay stuck, another is when i was buying stuff in delibird shop the game froze when I clicked buy when I bought pokeballs, another note is when I swapped pages to the tm side, on the bottom corners it shows the button to press for the tms but when you press it and go to the next page it does show the press L for Items, but fr, love what you guys are doing, beautiful game, good script, and im excite for its full release.
I love the direction this project is taking! The music is really great, though the battle theme is a bit loud compared to everything else. My least favorite bug is analog stick inputs getting stuck in certain directions causing dex/battle UIs to freak out. But I'm also on Linux so it could be a me issue.

I have graphical issues as well with it whether it wanted to windowed or full screen and it tends to crash; having me to restart it a few times before it even began. Its also laggy and my character keeps falling though the map after I beat the first team magma opponents.
However it is a demo and I expected glitches, so I'll be waiting on a patch soon I hope to experiance it better
I kept having graphical issues where the game couldn't decide whether to be fullscreen or windowed, and it did big, ugly bugs with like a stretched screen with my background apps also all stretched and stuff while it lagged to show the correct windowed mode. And then I got softlocked on a wild battle because my Torchic never went out for some reason, and the battle menu never showed up. It's really missing imo autorun, configurable controls (me having a non qwerty keyboard really hurt), and better stability for gameplay and graphical bugs, and I'd say this looks pretty cool. But it really needs more work to be really enjoyable right now. Sorry :(
Hi there! I have played this game for an hour or so now. Despite there being a lot of bugs, the game is still fairly enjoyable. I have to refresh a lot (press menu and the run button at the same time) I would highly recommend if you play this to save often if you are really trying to play through it. Here are some bugs I encountered:
I had a bug where in one run I did the beldum did not get collected in the beginning so I never got it.
Sometimes, tea magma would walk past you before even talking to you and it was really odd.
A lot of times, my game would glitch out in battle where I am not able to select anything and have to refresh.
It has only happened a few times where I get stuck in the UI of a menu but I can hear myself walking around in the world still.
I had multiple game breaking glitches where the same prompt keeps popping up and redoing itself like one that was really bad, my pokemon were leveling up mid battle and it took me out of the fight, kept saying my pokemon were leveling up, and going black, then going back to the overworld screen for a second, then repeating the cycle.
The joystick often breaks the game, so I just use the d-pad.
The move bounce breaks the game.
Thats all the bugs I can remember but the game is really good for just being a demo. I also find it best for things you are not prompted to press a for, let it play without spamming buttons cause it helps the game freak out less. Will be playing more.
Been looking forward to this demo for a long time. Just finished it entirely and will say I did have fun. It is very buggy, but just make sure to save constantly and soft reset if needed. I only ran into a couple of large bugs that didn't affect the game too much, but worth calling out
The Onyx in the magma cave was caught, but lost all of its moves. After leveling up to 52, it randomly evolved into a Mightyena (actually laughed pretty hard at this)
Kecleon appears to be uncatchable (unless I have the worst luck possible). Didn't even get the first ball twitch after 15 ultra balls
When going back and destroying the generators, the trainer with the lv. 40 Camerupt disappears after losing. Found this kind of nice since at that point in the game, 40 is way too high.
The most frustrating issue was the encounter rate. Got stuck on 1 patch of grass for 4 encounters in a row
The complimentary Beldum (tysm as this is my fav evo line) evolved into Metang, but the model stayed as Beldum. The Metagross evolution was correct though
Sometimes after loading into the ashed forrest, I could walk through the boulders
Is this a 32 but game? I didn't even look. I'm trying to get it working on Winlator/Gamehub with Wine or Proton but only Winlator got me credits then black screen. Ugh
a bug is happening when i defeat a member of team magma, the game crashes and i can't do anything else. this member is in front of some rocks he would have to drop an item for me to proceed but nothing happens the game just crashes. I'm stuck on this part
The beginning is good, but the game is so buggy at the beginning that I can't even get out of the beginning. As soon as you die at the beginning, the 4 Pokemon appear again because they block your path. I have my Pokemon and the items, but I can't trigger the sequence again, which means I have to start over. It can also happen that a fight is triggered in the grass, which causes the whole game to freeze. If that happens, you have to start the game over again because the 4 Pokemon block your path again.
Otherwise, the demo looks really good. But there's still a lot of room for improvement regarding such serious game bugs right at the beginning!
buggy but ok since its a demo, like how PP's are shared with the old atack or how the game gets stuck sometimes, and that when u apply "flinch" the game becomes unplayable
played about 40 minutes twice. Having fun, but I appear unable to stop myself from falling through the map, and once there, I am trapped. For my first playthrough, I thought saving would reset it, but it trapped me. The second time I was prepared and tried saving multiple times before where it had happened previously, yet kept falling through the map, resetting, and then finally through no clear logic, my previouslly above map save file was automatically having me fall through the map before I could even do anything to stop it. Please continue your good work this game looks beautiful and I think is exactly what this game needed as a modern reboot excited for the final product
try updating the game whenever you come back to check here! i also fell through the map a lot but in the latest update it got fixed for me (well so far)
Literally won't let me use any controllers in the game. They're connected, but the game won't register them. I've tried my pro controller AND even a pair of joycons, which are all updated. This is unplayable if controllers won't work. I aint playin Pokemon with freakin PC controls on a keyboard lmaoooo
I hope this is fixed soon or I'm not gonna be playing, and that's a major letxdown.
I've literally never had issues with my controllers. Whether it's an RPGXP game, something like Pokemon Close Combat, anything on Steam, like NFS, visual novels, 3d interactive games, Monster Hunter, Marvel Rivals... etc etc. You really need to work on the compatibility here. You have these instructions on the site itself for how it works, and it's built-into the game right? So why is it not working when all the other dozens of games I've played have worked thus far? They even allow me to customize and edit the controls and which button is linked to which control or setting/option. Pokemon Close Combat is the only one that required me to use another software which they provided.
Please fix this bruh. It'd help a lot if you would allow customization too. The current options are hella lame. Selecting with B and running with A, for traditional Nintendo controllers??? Super backwards and I've never played a game that had that and DIDN'T allow different layouts/customizations. B aka the bottom middle button is always running, with A aka the middle right button being jumping, or B as jumping, and Y as running. No one is gonna be used to that, and no one wants to play in that way. A should be how you select things, B should be running when it's an option. Not that it's even recognizing I have a controller anyways, but still.
In it's current state, it's just unplayable for me. I'll keep a lookout for a fix, but until then, I can't even start the game. :/ smh.
I actually just used AntiMicroX to bind keyboard keys to my controller. The program I used for Pokemon Close Combat, previously. I just haven't used it in forever. I forgot how simple and also great it was. It completely solves the problem I had of the game not recognizing the controllers at all. It's a good temporary fix, or permanent, depending on how the development goes. Thanks for the reply with an alternate solution though!
I was a bit harsh, I admit, but it's because I was looking forward to this game for such a long time, and if it bogs down the creator, they were never going to get very far anyways.

yeah i am im just stuck infinitely farming money ive also tried resetting and restarting

Some more bugs: accessing the generator without the key card soft locks the game. Music plays but all buttons stop working.
You cannot walk up to an interact with moving NPCs, you have to stand in front of them to trigger combat.
The game was working for me but now it won't launch it for some reason saying ECONNREFUSED can someone tell my how to fix it?
Restart PC and launcher; update was pushed and wouldnt allow me to launch

Dev log says 1/2046, so half normal odds.

Can't Evolve Cascoon. When I evolve Cascoon, it shows as Silcoon in the Evolve Screen, turning into Dustox.
But after Evolution, it is a Beautifly and not a Dustox.

How can I apply the patch for the bugs? Or do I have to reinstall the game and start from scratch?

Game ran once ending with a black screen at the end of the demo notice after that with version 42 and 43 no more

Binaries directory only has Win64 and no 32. Try launching through Steam with ProtonHotfix and gamescope as start argument. Worked for me
Is there a way to configure the options without having to enter the game?
On my PC I play 3D open world games, but when I try to enter Gamma Emerald it says that my video card can't handle it.
How do i save the settings? they allways reset to the standard settings.
Also my Mudkip is now NAME Lv:1 without any attacks

so ive added the game as a non steam game after downloading it from here and it works fine with my ps5 controller try doing that maybe?
