The game keeps turning my shiny Pokémon into regular Pokémon when I evolve them, and I can't figure out a workaround, so I'm just leaving them in a box now

When I swap pokemon during battle, sometimes the interface (moves, team, bag...) has disappeared

When i try to add the exe as a non-steam game it wont load the game and i cant select the whole file as a non-steam game. Whenever i get to the gender selection screen i choose my gender and my game just freezes every time. anyone know how to help?

The game is impressive, and it gives a nice change compared to ALL of those RPG Maker XP Pokémon Essentials, they all ressemble each other even the best ones. But unfortunately, the game is FULL of bugs, and when I say this, I'm not joking. There are so many of them, it's ridiculous. I don't know what's your plans for this game, if this is just a technical demo to show off what you'r capable of, or if you want to do a complete game, but if this is the latter, this need a lot of work. I had to quit at the moment you fought Mercenary Yior because I managed to beat her but right after, I had a crash that closed the game. I already had a lot of bugs before so here goes the limit of my patience.

Recursive Function for Gender and Name not calling back for input


Would like an are you sure text at game start for names, Nicknames and choices. Also start for okay on typing.


Would like to move check summary to R1 or RB or L1 or LB.



Check summary screen sometimes goes static and overlays gameplay that you can see underneath.


Rest Fatal error, in my opinion the biggest problem. Fighting through something hard then having your game crash and having to go through it destroys playthroughs makes people hate a good game


Grass interaction seems like its based on input rather then units moved, sometimes i dont move from a block and will have 4 different encounters without even trying to change directions, especially when going right


Healthbar dissapearing (after cinematic standby shot if you press b sometimes healthbar of opponent is hidden) or battle menu gets stuck, then healthbar disappears 


When mashing a (coincidence or not) sometimes postmove my battle menu will disappear and there will be no menu, i can't make moves.


Auto Save seprate save that saves after each encounter ends, separate from the manual


Higher contrast on selection within menu, especially on pkmn



Suggestion for a perma menu during battle, the most a bug would be able to do is hide it, not erase it from use entirely, at least until bugs are all good


map a button to a forced menu reopen just so i can finish battles, like l3+r3


I really love this game, only fan game i wanna play right now i think this should be the new standard but it's so hard to recommend something so broken. 


I think the 2 level 20 Pikachu's are a bit much also but I'm not mad at it

I just downloaded the game but keeps crashing as soon as i try to start a new game, Does anybody know what the requirements are for this game to run?

I was training my Pokemon by the water where you encounter bellossom near the poke tent to heal and the beldum you find on the ground evolved to metang and then was glitched off my team disappeared was replaced by an empty slot called button text with all 0’s for stats is there a way to get my metang back?

Game bugs out when trying to adjust the UI and every time I try to fix it, it resets to completely filling the screen on opening. My gamepad also doesn't like connecting to the game and the keyboard layout for movement is also WASD rather than the arrow keys. It looks like a really good game and I do understand that it's still a work in progress and there are a lot of glitches but it does get a little frustrating.

Run the game through steam via adding it as Non-Steam Game, then enable steam input. if you're able to, limit fps no higher than 90  or 60.

I did that, and I'm having the same bug.

Understandably, this is still a work in progress.  Something to note is that when walking through tall grass, you also interact with the grass you were already standing in, so there is a very high possibility to encounter-lock yourself into a single tile of tall grass.  This was amusing the first few times, but after the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th time, it does get old.  

For me it was actually also the direction the character was facing that caused this.
If i had an encounter while looking right, I will inherently get the next encounter directly when trying to move right. This issue was resolved for me when I turned another direction first OR you can run while the game is still rendering post battle.

i connected my joycons to my computer but idk how to configure them so i can use them for the game. any help?

encounter rate needs to be turned down, cant even move 1 space without a wild encounter in tall grass. also the move astonish keeps bugging game and needs to be reset like 75% of the time. other than that the game looks beautiful and i cant wait to see it finished. keep up the good work!!

also for people who are getting the pure virtual function crash, add the game to steam as a non steam game and it will run!

how to do that?

In the bottom right of your library it says add game. There add the game and then you can run it through steam

Guys, he is working hard on the next update. we all know there will be bugs currently as it is a demo. After checking, he's working hard on the game mechanics and bugs and cant wait to see the progress. 

i can't make a new save just crashes and says pure virtual function being called then crashes

Most times when i use aqua tail my game crashes! i dont know why and its not always. pls fix this. thank you. all other is perfect and very good game!

Dont use high animated moves. 

how do i change this? when i change my settings it dont keep the settings, it resets itself.

It's sort of buggy for certain settings to save. Try changing settings in window mode? as for the move sets, there is no option to disable, or edit the animation style. my workaround was to not use it or learn new moves sadly.

if anyone is having issues with it giving error and crashing on new game try placing it in a folder such as C:\Program Files.

major delay on movement in game. when your pokemon faint completely the game loses progress pushing you back to the start to start over again meaning pokemon lose levels.

Possible fixes; Run/Add game through steam, Limit FPS no higher than 90, and dont use Highly animated moves (Aqua Tail, etc.)

Bug Report: Keep getting the error message "Pure virtual function being called while application was running (GIsRunning == 1)." Followed by "LowLevelFatalError (location stuff) Pure virtual function being called". I literally JUST downloaded the game and unzipped the files.

I keep getting these when I try to start the game from the menu. I can load it up just fine and play around with the settings, but the moment I try to play the game, I get the error code and then it closes.

I'm playing on a windows laptop.

Edit: I followed the instructions of someone in older comments and it didn't work, I just get stuck at the black loading screen with the sound of the waves.

I didn't have time for it, but when i will, i try to do the fight over again. Good luck for you manage to get past it and save the game!

I've crashed 7 times in the ashen forest. 5 times in the grass trying for encounters and 2 times against the first magma grunt. 3 of 5 encounter crashes were upon encounter before battle ever starts, the other two were upon executing super effective hit via Aqua Tail on Vulpix. Against the grunt it's the same, Aqua Tail on Numel caused crash the first time, Aqua Jet the second time. 

had this same issue. my only counter was to not use high animated moves(Particularly those moves) in battle. but i always saved before every encounter/battle. 

I stopped using water moves all together and haven't crashed since.
